Tracks Reopened after Derailment
Crews cleared 25 derailed grain cars from the tracks north of here and train traffic resumed during the afternoon, a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway spokesman said Tuesday. The hopper cars, loaded with soybeans from South Dakota, derailed about noon Monday. The cause of the accident remained under investigation. It was the second derailment of a grain train on the line in two weeks.
