Amtrak Train Derails in New Haven
Train service was delayed during Friday's morning rush hour as Amtrak repaired an Acela Express train that derailed at a slow speed as it backed up near the city's rail yard. No injuries were reported, and investigators were trying to determine the cause. The train, headed to Washington, D.C. from Boston, tried to back toward the station after its engineer noticed damage to signals and catenary wires that supply trains with electricity.
