- First Evidence of an Extra-solar Planet with a Magnetic Field [Jan 11] http://www.astro.ubc.ca/images/flare_400x296.jpg Canadian
astronomers announced today the first evidence of a magnetic field on a planet outside of our solar system which is also the first observation of a
planet heating its star. The report was presented ... at the meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Atlanta, Georgia. The result may offer
clues about the structure and formation of the giant planet. The planet is at least 270 times more massive than the Earth, almost as big as Jupiter.
Giant magnetic storms produce hot spots which are visible as bright patches in this light. This is the first ever glimpse of a magnetic field on a
planet outside of our solar system, and may provide clues about the planet´s structure and formation. [Note: moving ever closer to admitting to
the public that a small brown dwarf, with a magnetic core, such as Planet X has, could exist.]

- The Office of Management and Budget wants to have the final say on releasing emergency declarations to the public. [Jan 11]
http://www.stltoday.com/news/ Under a new proposal, the White House would decide what and when the public would be told about an outbreak
of mad cow disease, an anthrax release, a nuclear plant accident or any other crisis. The White House Office of Management and Budget is trying
to gain final control over release of emergency declarations from the federal agencies responsible for public health, safety and the environment.
The OMB also wants to manage scientific and technical evaluations - known as peer reviews - of all major government rules, plans, proposed
regulations and pronouncements. Currently, each federal agency controls its emergency notifications and peer review of its projects.

- USGS Siesmologist: By order of the White House we have been told to underreport or not report at all. This order was passed down to us in July
of 03. Can´t say who gave the order but it came from Washington D.C. I´d identify myself but I need my job. We don´t even know why this order
has been brought down on us. Most of the quakes since July are off by 1 to 1.5 mag. [and from another poster] If this guy is for real then the
Yellowstone quake was 6.0 like the guy in Wyoming said. [and from another poster] Why did the Alaska quake go from 7.1 to 4.3 and now the
same quake is 4.4 don´t get it. This quake has changed 3 times. And now we know why the Nevada quakes disappeared. [Note: this under
reporting has been occurring, noticeably, since early 2002. See Troubled Times Quake Pattern TOPIC.]

- [Jan 11] 'According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), only 1,000 new jobs were created last month, far below the expected 150,000 jobs
expected to be created in that period. Meanwhile, some 309,000 people stopped looking for work. ... The EPI notes that since the recession began
in March 2001 the US economy has seen the "greatest sustained job loss since the Great Depression," including 2.9 million jobs in the private
sector.' [and from another source] New York Times [Jan 8] 'With its rising budget deficit and ballooning trade imbalance, the United States is
running up a foreign debt of such record-breaking size that it threatens the financial stability of the global economy, according to report released
Wednesday by the International Monetary Fund. It questions the wisdom of the Bush administration's tax cuts and warns that large budget
deficits pose "significant risks" not just for the U.S. but for the rest of the world. The report warns that the United States' net financial
obligations to the rest of the world could equal 40 percent of its total economy within a few years, an unprecedented level of external debt for a
large industrial country.'

- Hunger and homelessness in US continue to rise in 2003 [Dec 27] http://www.wsws.org/articles/2003/dec2003/hung-d272.shtml Hunger and
homelessness in the United States continue to rise at double-digit rates in 2003, according to a December 18 report released by the US
Conference of Mayors (USCM). In the 25 cities that responded to its survey, requests for emergency food assistance were up 17 percent over last
year, while requests for emergency shelter increased by 13 percent on average. The report cites unemployment and other employment-related
problems as the leading cause of hunger, giving the lie to Bush administration claims that an economic recovery is lifting workers out of poverty.
While there has been an increase in corporate profits, productivity and stock prices this year, millions of workers remain mired in long-term
unemployment and underemployment, with savings and other resources long since exhausted.

- There was a full moon on the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th of the current month. I have never in my life seen a full moon for so many consecutive days.
On the 10th [Jan 10], I watched through binocular and I noticed the moon feature called Tycho was in the wrong place. Here is Tycho on the
usual lower left side. Before posting this thread I have done extensive reseach and all sources conclude about the following: the same side is
always facing toward the Earth. [and from another source] Jan 9, full Moon in Japan, before sunrise. [Note: Japan produced a photo, showing
the Face not what is to be expected! The Moon has assumed a tilt now, too.]

- Power Grid Link To Be Restored [Jan 12] http://xtramsn.co.nz/business/0,,5113-2990570,00.html Power flow between New Zealand´s north and
south islands will be restored later today, ending a three-day outage that sent electricity prices soaring, national grid operator Transpower said.
High winds damaged five transmission towers on Friday, cutting the high voltage direct current (HVDC) link which normally sends
hydro-generated electricity to the heavily populated North Island. [and from another source] Power outage in Stamford leaves nearly 2,700
residents without heat [Jan 9] http://www.news12.com/CT/topstories/article?id=98529 On a night when temperatures were near record lows,
nearly 2,700 people in Stamford had no power or heat. [Note: unusal outages, apparently caused by weather? New Zealand has been racked by
quakes and Connecticut is in the stretch zone.]

With the Mars rover, Spirit, on the ground and sending back color postcards as beautifully tinted as anything your
grandmother received from friends visiting the Grand Canyon, the folks who believe the moon shot was a hoax are
once again flaming (e-mailing insults) and thread hammering (overwhelming an online forum with verbose replies).

- On January 11, 2004 the sunrise seemed to be EARLY. How much? Well, who knows what time it is! Sunrise was
suppose to be at 7:43 according to the 2003 Almanac. It happened at 7:30 according to computer clock. It happened at 7:38 according to wall
clock. Sunsets are late this week. On TV it said it would be 5:21 tonight in Joplin. But the book says it will be at 4:28PM! I expect it to actually be
close to 5:21 - 53 minutes late according to prepublished times! [and from another source] There is a huge discrepancy in these two times for
January 9, 2004 US Navy Sunrise 7:52 Sunset 5:26 daylight 9hr 17 min, 2004 Almanac Sunrise 7:13 Sunset 4:30 daylight 9hr 34 min [Note: this
is a blantant indication that the Earth has lifted in its Ecliptic plane, a shorter day for the northern hemisphere,. The Navy knows this, and has
built in changes to disguise this. Since a printed Almanac stands as proof the the Navy lies, it has become a terrorist device! See Sign of the Times

- Dollar Tumbles Against Euro as U.S. Creates Almost No Jobs [Jan 9] Bloomberg: The dollar tumbled to a record low against the euro after the
U.S. economy added almost no jobs last month, leading investors to conclude the Federal Reserve will wait even longer to raise interest rates. The
dollar lost more than a cent within five minutes of the government report showing 1,000 new jobs were added, compared with economists´
forecast of 150,000. Traders pushed back the expected timing of a Fed rate increase from midyear to the third quarter, giving investors less
incentive to hold dollars.

- 'The American people are not being told that the explosion of this ´super volcano´ could happen at any moment. When Yellowstone does blow,
some geologists predict that every living thing within six hundred miles is likely to die. The movement of magma has been detected just
three-tenths of a mile below the bulging surface of the ground in Yellowstone raising concerns that this super volcano may erupt soon.'
http://www.proliberty.com/observer/20031219.htm [and from another source] I live in Kelly Wy. The quake yesterday was alot bigger then they
are saying. I´ve felt two more aftershocks this morning that are not on the USGS. I believe they shut the siemso down again. [and from another
source] 'Some Jackson residents woke up with a jolt this morning. An earthquake resitering a magnitude of 5.0 hit around one oclock in the
morning about 20 miles ENE of Jackson. Waveryly Person, Geophysicist of the USGS says three other quakes followed until 2:30 in the morning.'

- Three sisters has been rumbling for about the last 6 months small quakes that just seem to vibrate the ground. The whole town of Sisters knows
that the mountian will blow. The ground has swelled 178 cm in the last 4 years around a 3 square mile radius more at the base of the mountian,
we´ve been warned that this could become a active vent. The top of Hood is bulging out toward the east and has been for a couple of years now.
Portland had a 2.2 quake this morning [Jan 8] Hood had a 3.4 on Monday that was felt at Timberline Lodge on the mountian. Three Sisters is
really shaking. [and from another source] Anyone know what is going on in Ohio? Check out this live helicorder. This live seismic from
Disneyworld, Orlando, doesn´t look too quiet to me. Missouri also shows shaking today. [Note: On Jan 8, the USGS had the live siesmos turned
down to barely a ripple, but local recorders showed trembling earth and quakes had not subsided.]

- Wish to make you acquainted with some observations I've made in the last days: they confirm what has been reported in Zetatalk. Yesterday,
[Jan. 3], I have measured the angles that the points of rising and setting of the Sun make with the N/S axis; the rising point is about 45° from the
N/S axis, whilst the setting point is about 30°. Ergo, the N/S axis is no longer at the center of the cone formed by the Sun's arc during daylight.
Today, I've observed that at midday, 12 o' clock, the Sun was not pointing to the south, but slightly to SE. It was only at 1:00 PM that the Sun was
pointing exactly to the south. I believe this is the proof that Earth's axis has tilted. [Note: The Sun is rising at 45 from South instead of 60 from
South, too far north by 15. It is setting at 30 from South instead of 60 from South, too far South by 30. Overall too far South and Tilted, indeed!

[and from another source] Moon rising from East in Italy. Timings: 5 PM. Date: Jan 07, 2004. [Note: per Skymap
the Moon should be rising from the NE, a full 30 degrees further to the north from east! This Moon is too far
south.]

- Yesterday [Jan 7] afternoon, around 4:30 the clouds moved away from above the bright sunblaze, and there it was. About the size of the moon,
full and round, and I could look at it directly. The lower Sun was too bright even through cloudiness. I can't believe people missed seeing this! My
group and I have been watching double sunsets for over a week now, when not overcast or blocked by contrail clouds. [and from another source]
Oleg in Moscow, Russia [Jan 7] We began watching the Sun at 12 oclock noon. An orb barely lower than the center of the Sun can be seen. The
orb radiated light with strong red displacement, and the clouds extinguished light from the Sun too with a reddish shade. By 3.30 PM the orb
moved precisely to the center of the Sun. This orb some hours with breaks was observed and by the evening it became appreciable obvious in
movement against the Sun. It is possible to make the statement, that the orb is at a great distance from the Sun and makes independent
movement. [Note: all of this is supported by Photos from around the world.]

- Flying Object Startles Area Officers [Jan 7] http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/journalgazette/news/local/7652143.htm Three police officers who
say a strange object drifted through the skies over Huntington are trying to find someone else who saw it - whatever it was. Officer Chip Olinger
was warming up his car Dec. 26 when he reported seeing a circular object in the sky and radioed officers Greg Hedrick and Randy Hoover, who
also saw it. All three say they watched as the object moved out of the northwest, drifted toward a church steeple, then shot straight back north
without a sound in an encounter that lasted less than a minute about 2:30 PM. The officers describe the object as about the size of a hot air
balloon or a backyard trampoline. They said it was low enough in the sky that Olinger thought it might crash into the steeple. They say it stopped
a few times and spun slowly, changing shapes and at one point turned orange.
