- 8/24 my recording 1:45 chart 1:11 - On 6/27 I pounded a piece of wood in the shape of an upside-down "L" into the ground, pointing
north. I put a marker in the ground on the edge of it's shadow at 1:12, the time this web sight http://www.cmpsolv.com/los/sunset.html
said was "high noon" for my location. ( Seattle, WA area.) I have tracked it since. From July 16th, to August 3rd, high noon was
supposed to be at 1:15. On August 4th it was supposed to be at 1:14, the beginning of it's backward slide. According to the chart, no
reading should occur after 1:15. My watch is accurate. Here are my observations.
