Occulting Sun
Mississippi, on October 12, 2003

I took this digital photo Oct 12 approximately at 4:15 PM. I used a 3.2 megapixel Canon A70. The photo is untouched superfine resolution, the highest possible with the camera. There is an object around 1 o'clock. In addition, there is the remarkable flaring all around the sun. The photo was shot after the sun was free from clouds, but in south Mississippi, at sea level, there is a lot of moisture in the air. Still, it is interesting to see this brilliant sun. I could not look at it directly.
