Surveyor Mission Overview

The 2003 missions will send to Mars an updated rover, code named Athena, to begin the search for samples which the 2005 mission will return to Earth. There will also be some demonstration experiments for InSitu Propellent Production (ISPP), a requirement for the eventual manned missions.
